Testing in the Manukau harbour

The Manukau Harbour provided a suitable test location for our recently developed wave powered data buoy. Between April and October 2025, we conducted numerous short term trials, allowing various design improvements to be assessed in situ. The data buoy was tested in wave conditions ranging from 0.1m to 0.4m significant wave height.
