  • July 2022

    The first prototype WEC was tested in the University of Auckland wave flume as part of Jonathan’s PhD project

  • October 2023

    The first ocean test of a WEC prototype was completed at Ōhope Beach

  • May 2024

    UniServices invests $50K pre-seed for building and testing wave energy converter prototype in an aquaculture farm.
